The Art of Mulching & Water

  • The Concept: "Use Small and Slow Solutions."

The Workshop: Water conservation strategies & taking softwood cuttings. We will look at different types of mulch (seaweed & wool) to suppress weeds and feed the soil slowly during the driest months.

  • The Concept: "Produce No Waste."
  • The Workshop: Turning weeds (nettles/comfrey) into plant food. Closing the loop by using garden waste to create fertility. Also Summer pruning workshop as bonus!

  • The Workshop : Storing, pickling, sauce making & wine making of summer fruits & vegetables. How to keep the energy of the summer sun in a jar or bottle for the winter months.
