We are so excited to announce the launch of the OURganic Gardens Annual Membership!
For over 10 years now, we have loved welcoming people to our North West Donegal home and garden to learn under the shadow of Errigal Mountain.
Now, we want to offer you a way to become a bigger part of our story that will allow us to continue our work the land and the people of all ages who want to learn to grow into the future.
The idea of a membership came about as a way for us to keep working in the gardens supporting students and visitors throughout the year while still showing people who want to know what we do and how we do it!
So even if you use this membership to attend one workshop , all the workshops or just to show your support we look forward to welcoming you into the OURganic Garden family this year.
For a set annual fee, Members will receive:
✅ Unlimited Access to ALL our Monthly Workshops* run by Joanne and Milo throughout the year
✅ 10 Propagated Plants to take home at the end of the year.
✅ Notes from each workshop will be available to all participants whether you attend or not.

JANUARY
Saturday 24th January 2026 - 11am-2pm
Dream, Design & Observe
- The Concept: "Observe and Interact."
- The Workshop: Mapping the garden. Understanding the sun, wind, and water sectors of your site. Planning the growing year ahead on paper before touching the soil.

FEBRUARY
Saturday 28th February 2026 - 11am-2pm
Working with the Wind & Willow
- The Concept: "Use and Value Renewable Resources."
- The Workshop: Designing & Building living windbreaks (essential in windy locations) and structures using willow and native hedging. Preparing the "bones" of the garden before the growth spurts.

MARCH
Saturday 28th March -11am -2pm
Waking the Soil & Sowing the Seeds.
- The Concept: "Catch and Store Energy."
- The Workshop: Creating hotbeds to start seeds early despite the cold. Understanding compost heat. Sowing the first hardy seeds.

APRIL
Saturday 25th April- 11am-2pm
The Social Garden: Companions & Guilds
- The Concept: "Integrate Rather Than Segregate."
- The Workshop: Companion planting basics. Creating plant "guilds" (groups of plants that help each other). Moving away from monoculture rows to diverse ecosystems.

MAY Saturday 23rd May -11am-2pm
Polytunnel Growing
- The Concept: "Use and Value Diversity."
- The Workshop: Managing heat and humidity. Maximising vertical space. Interplanting fast crops (lettuce) with slow crops (tomatoes) to get the most out of your tunnel.

JUNE
Saturday 27th June - 11am - 2pm
The Art of Mulching & Water
- The Concept: "Use Small and Slow Solutions."
The Workshop: Water conservation strategies & taking softwood cuttings. We will look at different types of mulch (seaweed & wool) to suppress weeds and feed the soil slowly during the driest months.

JULY
Saturday 25th July - 11am-2pm
Feeding the Earth (Liquid Feeds & Teas)
- The Concept: "Produce No Waste."
- The Workshop: Turning weeds (nettles/comfrey) into plant food. Closing the loop by using garden waste to create fertility. Also Summer pruning workshop as bonus!

AUGUST
Saturday 22nd August - 11am-2pm
The Big Harvest
- The Concept: "Obtain a Yield."
The Workshop: Harvesting techniques that encourage regrowth & abundance. Seed saving basics (selecting the best plants for your growing conditions).

SEPTEMBER
Saturday 26th September - 11am-2pm
Preserving the Season
- The Concept: "Catch and Store Energy" (Part 2).
- The Workshop: Storing, pickling, sauce making & wine making of summer fruits & vegetables. How to keep the energy of the summer sun in a jar or bottle for the winter months.

OCTOBER
Saturday 24th October - 11am-2pm
Putting the Garden to Bed
- The Concept: "Apply Self-Regulation & Accept Feedback."
- The Workshop: Analysing what worked and what didn't. Lasagna style gardening (sheet mulching) & other ways to build soil over winter. Garlic planting.

NOVEMBER
Saturday 28th November -11am-2pm
The Edge Effect (Hedges & Boundaries)
- The Concept: "Use Edges and Value the Marginal."
- The Workshop: Preparing & planting bare-root trees and taking hardwood cuttings. Why the "edge" of the garden is the most biodiverse part. Utilising vertical edges and fences.

DECEMBER
Saturday 12th December - 11am-2pm
Gifts from the Garden
- The Concept: "Creatively Use and Respond to Change."
- The Workshop: Using natural materials (dried flowers, willow, holly) to create wreaths and gifts. Reflecting on the year's changing seasons through seed selection and celebrating the winter solstice.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Errigal Mountain, OURganic Gardens is more than just a place to grow plants—it is a place to grow people, community, and skills for life.
For the first time, we are inviting you to become a year long Member of the garden.
Whether you are a local grower looking to sharpen your skills, a champion of sustainability, or someone who simply finds peace in the soil, this membership is your passport to a full year of education and harvest while supporting a small family run business throughout the year.
What Is Included?
For a single annual fee, Members receive:
1. Unlimited Access to all our Monthly Workshops* 🌿 From seed sowing in Spring to harvesting and preserving in Autumn, we have a full programme of educational workshops availabe all year round. As a member, you can attend any and all monthly workshops* held at the garden for free. (Subject to booking availability – see below).
2. Take Home the Harvest 🌱 We want your own garden to thrive as much as ours. At the end of the growing season, every member can collect 10 plants that we have propagated right here in Donegal. These will be ready for you to take home and plant in your own patch in Mid December of 2026.
3. Support the Mission 💚 Your membership fee goes directly back into the ground. It supports the business , the maintenance of our educational gardens, the polytunnels, and the development of this space for future generations.

Cost: €200 for the full year (previous participants can avail of a discount of 25% - Just contact us in advance by email to get discount code)

How It Works (The Important Stuff)
We want to make sure this works smoothly for everyone. Here is how you use your membership:

Booking is Essential: Our monthly workshops have a maximum capacity to ensure quality teaching. Even though your ticket is free, you must book your spot online using your Member Code in advance. We cannot guarantee entry to walk-ins if the class is full!

The Plants: We will notify all members in late autumn when the propagation plants are ready for collection.

Non-Transferable: The membership is for you. It cannot be shared or transferred to friends or family members for individual workshops - However friends and family can avail of a discount for each workshop.
Why Join Now?
We will be capping this pilot program to ensure we have plenty of space for everyone. Once these spots are gone, we will close membership until 2027.
